Standing in his field

Standing in his field

I went on a bike ride today. I started a little bit late in the day, in the early evening. I followed a road out of the city until I came to an area which is mostly farm land.

I turned off of that road and onto a path that went down into a farm land. There were flowers, summer squash and leafy greens being grown. The sun was almost setting by this time, and it looked very large and red over the horizon line.

I was standing under a hoop structure and looking at the squash vines. A farmer saw me there and said something. I said “agriculture” and “beautiful” and “photo”. He understood, and ignored me after that.

The agricultural landscape is beautiful. I like the idea of working in such a quiet and beautiful setting.

Q. when was the last time you walked around a farm?

Q. If you had a piece of land, what would you do?
