Seeing family

Seeing family

[text]I’m still in my hometown, seeing my family. There is my mom walking to the coffee shop. She is 74 years old. She is physically still very strong, but her mind is getting old. I went to the botanical gardens with my dad and stepmom. I can’t help acting weird around my stepmom. This visit has been pretty good. Soon I will go back to Vietnam. [questions]What will you always remember? What surprised you when you became older?

Overprepared, underprepared

Overprepared, underprepared

[text]Cooking is a joy. Grocery shopping is a joy. I recently tried making potato salad. But I made a lot. Like, way too much. Potato salad lasts only about 5 days, so we need to eat as much as we can. I got this hat at the second-hand store. It is awesome. It blocks the sun very effectively. I don’t know where I will go today, but probably I will need the hat.[questions]What must you do as much as you…

It has a basket on the back, so I can carry my lunch and stuff. Every morning I take my computer and go to the coffee shop. Sometimes my sister comes with me, and then we split a scone. The best is when we can sit together and each do our own…

Same and different

[text]My sleep rhythm is upside down right now, so I’ve been waking up at 4am. I go to the gas station for coffee. When I went in, the cashier recognized me. I used to get coffee and a cookie here every morning. They didn’t have the same kind of cookie that I used to get, so I got the Nature Valley one instead. What I like about NM

What I like about NM

A There are many things that I like and don’t like about New Mexico.  However, this week has reminded me of a couple things that I do like about it here. One thing that I really like about New Mexico is its wide open spaces.  Out of the 50 states, New Mexico ranks 45th in population density.  Here there are still a lot of wide open empty places where there aren’t a lot of people.  Also, the landscape doesn’t obstruct…
