I think that my dog had a good effect on me when I was growing up.  Now, I tend to think that pets are good for people, especially kids.

In high school, I had a friend who was really smart.  He kept lots of different kinds of pets, and knew everything about animals and plants.

Taking care of a pet can teach kids to care for others and not to be selfish.  This is something which will help them in their relationships when they grow up.

No matter who you are, having a good life is important to you.  We can appreciate the benefit that pets have for us and our kids.
