In the 1960’s, there was a cultural movement which emphasized love and peace over money.  Many musicians defined this movement, which came to be known as the “hippy generation”.

In America, 1890-1930, there were many homeless, jobless people.  Some of them rode around the country on top of trains, looking for seasonal work.

There are a lot of reasons why money is important.  It’s not the only important thing, but it’s still important to make sure that you have enough money.
