I all my lessons were tried and tested over the last two years while teaching intermediate level learners in university. Now I open my business up and who’s my first customer coming in my door? I now have a 6 year old beginner student. Uh…!

I tried adapting my lessons for beginner students, but really I needed a different approach. Less focus on speaking and listening skills…and more fun. More art, stories, songs.

So this lesson is the beginning of me learning how to design for little kids. It’ll be tagged as experimental, and there will be many more experimental lessons to come until I develop a good design for children’s classes.
